Recipe Ingredients for Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia) Cabbage
2 serving Ready to Serve Bacon
4 clove Garlic
1.5 medium raw Onion Red
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 tsp Onion Powder
0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
0.25 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

Place the bacon and oil in a large stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until crispy. Add the onion and garlic; cook and stir until the onion caramelizes; about 10 minutes. Immediately stir in the cabbage and continue to cook and stir another 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, onion power, garlic powder and paprika. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes more.
