Recipe Ingredients for fried beef liver with shrooms and carrot

13 oz beef liver
2 oz mushrooms
2 tsp olive oil
2 oz onions (chopped)
1 tsp salt
2 oz carrot (sliced)

Recipe Directions for fried beef liver with shrooms and carrot

  1. divide oil, use half to season liver (let it stand for 5-10 minutes in oil), and put other half in non-stick pan

  2. set non-stick pan on high, when heated to 250F add carrots, fry till starts to turn yellow (2-3 minutes), add onions, wait till somewhat browned but not burned, switch to low and add mushrooms.

  3. heat a grill pan till temp is about 370F as measured by infrared thermometer

  4. move liver slices to grill and fry each side about 40 seconds, turning to get nice grill pattern, total about 3 minutes

  5. move liver to non-stick, add salt, pepper and bay leaves (to taste), add a cup of hot water

  6. keep on high head until water boils, cover and simmer until water evaporates (about 30 minutes)
