cold soaked cereal for breakfast (not the dry muesli where you just add milk in the morning) you should make this recipe the night before you plan to eat it.

Recipe Ingredients for Fresh Muesli

1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup plain yogurt, fat free
1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
3 tbsp raspberries
1 tsp raisins
1/4 cup peaches, sliced
1/4 tsp vanilla extract, imitation

Recipe Directions for Fresh Muesli

  1. Add all ingredients to bowl, mix well with a spoon, cover, refrigerate over night.

  2. Any fresh fruits can be swapped in, I prefer berries, peach slices and sliced bananas but anything will do, really. Citrus fruits I don't think work very well.

  3. I use applesauce, but you could instead use orange or applesauce (in fact that's how it goes in the original recipe I found, but I like it with applesauce better)

  4. If you want some crunch, just before eating it add some chopped nuts.
