fresh apple cake made with applesauce instead of oil, whole wheat flour and Splenda

Recipe Ingredients for Fresh Apple Cake

1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup egg substitute
1 cup pecans
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups wheat flour
3 cups apple
2 cups Splenda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Fresh Apple Cake

  1. combine applesauce and Splenda and beat.

  2. Add egg substitute and vanilla and beat.

  3. Stir in chopped apples by hand.

  4. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mix.

  5. Stir in pecans

  6. Place in greased and floured loaf pan or bundt pan. Should not be more than half full.

  7. Bake in preheated oven, 350 degrees for about 1 hour and 25 minutes.

  8. Test for doneness by inserting toothpick.
