Sweet french toast made with french bread.

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast

8 slices french bread
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
8 tsp butter

Recipe Directions for French Toast

  1. Slice French bread into 12 even pieces. This recipe will only use 8.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk 2 eggs together until slightly frothy.

  3. Add vanilla, sugar, milk, and cinnamon. Whisk until mixed completely. Cinnamon will separate over time, so mix again every few minutes.

  4. Heat up a skillet and smear 1/2 tsp butter per each slice of bread on inside of pan. Quickly, dip boths side of french bread into egg mixture, let excess drip off, and put it in the skillet.

  5. When it is time to flip the french toast, it will be golden brown on the bottom side. Before flipping, lift the toast completely out of the skillet, smear another 1/2 tsp butter per each slice of bread underneath it, then proceed to flip it over onto the butter.

  6. When it is finished, both sides will be golden brown. Repeat process until all bread and/or all mixture is used up. Let cool and enjoy!
