Recipe for bread soaked in a sweet batter and sauteed

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast

100 g bread, whole-wheat
1 egg
1/2 c milk
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp corn oil

Recipe Directions for French Toast

  1. Prepare batter by blending all ingredients except for the bread and oil.

  2. Dip each slice of bread in batter, being sure to cover both sides and let the bread soak the batter up.

  3. On a medium-low heat skillet, place 1/2 tsp of oil and cover surface.

  4. Saute 1 piece of prepared bread on both sides, being sure to brown each side slightly and letting the bread get warm. Turn down heat if needed.

  5. Keep adding 1/2 tspoons of oil and sauteing the remaining bread until finished.

  6. Enjoy with bananas or more syrup if you're in a sweet mood. Chocolate sauce also tastes great.
