This should use Challah or another egg bread, but I couldn't find that in the database...

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast

10 slices french bread
4 large eggs
1/2 cup half-and-half
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for French Toast

  1. Whisk the eggs, half-and-half, sugar and vanilla together.

  2. Mix the flour and baking powder, and then add to the liquid.

  3. Whisk them together gently.

  4. Coat both sides of each slice of bread (approx 3/4" thick) and then let sit for a couple minutes to let it soak in.

  5. Place each slide on a medium-low non-stick griddle until lightly browned.
