This is good to make ahead, toast in toaster later. It's already sweet!

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast

4 slices whole wheat bread
1 egg, extra large
1/2 cup fat free milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 teaspoons Splenda (+/- to taste)
1 dash salt
1 dash nutmeg or cinnamon

Recipe Directions for French Toast

  1. Mix all ingredients except bread in a shallow bowl.

  2. Whisk until frothy.

  3. Spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Heat on medium-high.

  4. Soak bread slices in egg mixture (one at a time), making sure both sides are coated but not soggy.

  5. Cook in heated skillet until brown and slightly crispy, each side about 30-40 seconds.
