This makes two slices of french toast. I lightly coat the bread, but if you want to soak yours it will still be low-carb.

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast, Low-Carb (11 net carbs)

2 slices light wheat bread
1 egg
1/2 tbsp half and half
1/4 packet Splenda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/10 tsp salt
1/8 tsp orange zest

Recipe Directions for French Toast, Low-Carb (11 net carbs)

  1. Whisk together all ingredients except for bread.

  2. Heat griddle or pan over medium heat. Lightly coat bread with mixture and place on griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

  3. Serve with butter and whipped cream.
