Recipe Ingredients for French Toast w/Cinnamon Raisin Bread

4 slices Raisin Cinnamon Swirl Bread
2 large Eggland's Best eggs
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 dash sea salt
1 Cooking spray
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons powdered sugar

Recipe Directions for French Toast w/Cinnamon Raisin Bread

  1. Whip eggs; add milk, juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and sea salt and mix together. Place in shallow dish, big enough for one slice of bread to fit. Set aside.

  2. Spray large heavy skillet with cooking spray; heat to medium.

  3. While skillet is heating, begin soaking slices of bread, one at a time, turning once. Remove bread and place in skillet. Repeat until all slices are cooking.

  4. Cook until light brown, and turn, cooking the other side.

  5. When all are light brown, turn heat up to medium high. Place pieces of butter around bread in pan to melt.

  6. Continue cooking bread until medium dark, turning once, making sure to get butter on each side of each piece.

  7. Pull from pan when medium dark brown. Quickly sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.

  8. Servings = 2 slices.
