used callah bread instead of white bread - could not get calories, so adjusted - used on 12 slices of callah

Recipe Ingredients for French toast casserole

2 cups egg beater
20 slices white bread
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup walnuts
1 3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe Directions for French toast casserole

Pam on 13x9 casserole dish. Cut half of callah into cubes and put in pan. Mix brown sugar, dices walnuts and cinnamon together. Sprinkle half over the bread. Repeat with rest of bread, then sugar mixture. Add egg beater and milk together. Pour over entire casserole, mushing down as you go. Cover with aluminium foil. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degree 20 minutes with the foil on, 30 minutes with the foil off, until top is golden brown.
