French Toast Casserole Recipe

A little twist on ordinary French toast.

Recipe Ingredients for French Toast Casserole

36 ounces french bread
8 eggs
3 cups milk
4 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons butter

Recipe Directions for French Toast Casserole

  1. Butter a 9x13 pan. Cut French Bread into 1 inch slices and arrange in 1 layer in bottom of pan. In a large bowl beat eggs well and add remaining ingredients except for butter. Pour over bread and cover with foil. Refrigerate

  2. 4 to 36 hours. Before baking take remaining butter and cut into small pieces and dot the top of bread. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until puffy or lightly browned. (optional sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg into ingredients for flavor)
