super easy low cal french onion soup. Serve with italian bread and swiss cheese, not accounted for in this recipe

Recipe Ingredients for French Onion Soup

6 yellow onions
8 cups low sodium beef broth
8 cups low sodium chicken broth
3 cloves garlic
2 T olive oil
1/4 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp chili powder
6 cups water

Recipe Directions for French Onion Soup

  1. slice 6 yellow onions, add to large pot with 2 T olive Oil, let brown and soften.

  2. Add 3 cloves garlic chopped to pan, let cook until it becomes fragrant.

  3. add liquids, paprika and chili powder. let simmer for 1-2 hrs

  4. taste and add any of your favorite seasonings to the soup, this is just a very basic recipe.

  5. Serve with french or italian bread and swiss cheese
