Be careful and don't burn yourself! This soup is delicious. The system didn't recognize sherry so I entered port wine. But I always use sherry.

Recipe Ingredients for French Onion Soup

1/2 tsp olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbl Port Wine, sherry
2/3 c. organic vegetable broth
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 pinch thyme
1 slice French Bread

Recipe Directions for French Onion Soup

  1. Melt butter and saute onions until transparent.

  2. Add Sherry and simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Cover with beef broth.

  4. Add seasoning and continue to cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

  5. Serve with french bread crouton and melted swiss cheese.
