Recipe Ingredients for French Breakfast Muffins

1 cup flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 egg
1/2 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions for French Breakfast Muffins

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared muffin tin. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and toothpick inserted into center of muffins comes out clean.

  2. Optionally: Dip tops of muffins in cinnamon/sugar mixture while still warm.
