nice crusty loaf. can be made with regular flour as well.

Recipe Ingredients for French Bagette (with oat flour)

1 cup water
2 cups flour
1 cup oat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp yeast

Recipe Directions for French Bagette (with oat flour)

  1. put ingredients into bread machine, as directed set to dough cycle.

  2. when dough is finished kneed gently, may need to add flour if to soft.

  3. shape into bagettes (I do it into 3 small loaves) Let rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour, should double in size.

  4. place in pre-heated oven (400 degrees F) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. to get a crispier loaf, you can spray with water every so often or place a pan of boiling water in the oven. the steam makes the crust much nicer.
