Yummy with any roast, this recipe has no garlic as we have friends that dislike it.

Recipe Ingredients for Fragrant oven roasted parsnips (FOR 4 WITHOUT GARLIC)

18 oz parsnip, 2 parsnips cut in half lengthways
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon rosemary, chopped finely
1 salt and pepper, season to taste

Recipe Directions for Fragrant oven roasted parsnips (FOR 4 WITHOUT GARLIC)

  1. Cut each parsnip in half lengthways.

  2. In a bowl that is big enough for the parsnips to lay in, add the oil and the finely chopped rosemary and add and mix ingredients together, now add the parsnips and make sure they are well coated in the mix.

  3. Place parsnips on a baking sheet and with a spoon place some more herb and oil mix on top of them, any oil that is left over just throw. To finish grind some black pepper on them.

  4. Cook in a pre heated oven gas mark 7 for 40-45 minutes or until golden and crisp. Check parsnips after 20 minutes and turn over, cook for a further 20 minutes, check and then if not totally ready cook for a further 5 minutes.
