Reason: Moved to Young Calorie Counters as more appropriate
That being said, I didn't start lose weight for two months.
The minimum recommended calories for an overweight, sedentary teen is 1500 calories, the minimum for an active, overweight teen is 1800 calories.
You are neither overweight, nor sedentary -- you should be eating at least 2000-2200 calories if you wish to lose your vanity pounds. Not eating enough is actually detrimental to your weight loss efforts -- not because of the mythical starvation mode, but because your body is desperately trying to develop and grow muscles, bones, and organs, and all your calories are going to making sure they continue to develop.
Calorie Count's mission is to promote healthy and sustainable weight management.
