dosage recommendations for amino acid supplements

Does anyone here know a good recommendation for dosage amount of amino acids?

I'm 5'3" 23 years old and 122lbs. I have dieted for as long as i can remember so may have major deficiency's of these essential amino acids.

I bought
chromium (both for sugar and carb cravings)


and L tyrosine.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. I'm just trying to get my body chemistry back in balance.

The best way to get your body back to health is to let it do the work and you provide it with adequate energy.

CC uses the BMR x activity calculation for maintenance and it has been clinically proven to be too low for women's actual energy requirements. Total energy expenditure (TEE) is more accurate and the above calculator does a decent job of it.

Unless you have any underlying chronic illnesses and your physician has suggested you should have amino-acid support, there is no value in taking them at your age.

Eat everything except ultra-processed foods (those in tiny amounts -- that means fast foods, packaged and boxed foods and restaurant chain foods) and you will cover off all your nutrient requirements.

At 23, your body is very forgiving of your abuse and will rebound quickly -- the only thing you have to do is stop undernourishing eat. Stay away from calorie restriction and everything bounces back quickly.

It is best not to mess with amino acids, supplements, etc unless you know for sure you have an actual medical problem or deficiency that requires supplementation. If you are eating a balanced diet you most likely don't need any supplements. The exception MAY be Vitamin D as the most effective way to absorb Vitamin D is through exposure to sunlight. Many people are deficient in D. But other than that just eat well. Use the food pyramid as a guide. Choose complex carbs, avoid simple carbs. Use whole fresh foods when possible. Avoid processed, canned and boxed foods, watch your sodium intake, stay away from diet foods, fat free and sugar free foods and drinks. Drink plenty of water. Choose fresh fruits and vegetables when possible and if you can't choose frozen over canned. Choose healthy fats. The only fat you don't need and want to avoid is trans-fat. Whole grains, brown rice, wheat pasta. Move your body and get adequate exercise.
