salad and vegetables = bloat!

Quote  |  Reply
I absolutely love salad and vegetables and eat a TON every day (sometimes my mid day snack consists of an entire head of cauliflower!). the only problem is the bloat!!! my stomach sticks out sooooo far and is quite uncomfortable.

do any of you have any suggestions to help with the bloat, but still allow me to eat my rabbit food?

thanks everyone! =)

I have the same problem. I'd like to know.

me 3! help with the bloat. hahha

Although for me it doesn't seem to matter what I eat, or even IF I eat. I'm just always bloated and burp burp burp (which does make me feel better!).

Guess I'm just an air swallower.

& I have also been known to eat a whole cauliflower! When I was making xmas cookies I ate the entire cauliflower in an effort to not eat the cookie dough. :)

it is soooo frustrating!

oh and freakykitty, if you read this... i have a suggestion for our wonderful love of cauliflower! sometimes i will steam it so it's easy to mash, and make faux-mashed potatoes! i will either use a blender (for a silky smooth concoction) or just a fork! i also add a little milk and some I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray, some salt, and some pepper. YUMMY! it tastes sooo good!

but.. this also causes bloat! ha!
tons of water to flush out the bloat

i make that cauli-mash too! love it! I also use the orange cauliflower a lot just for a little color in my life... lol

& water doesn't work for me for flush.. I drink about 2 gallons of water a day (+ other drinks), & slosh when I walk, but still bloat blooooat bloooooooooooat.  heheh

you have to work your way up to being able to handle all that fiber Foot in mouth

it took me a few months since turning vegan to not bloat after eating so much vegetables.

but...cauliflower is a gassy vege.  it'll make you bloat no matter what so i avoid it.

try cooking them longer or eating something else with it?
