can you tone and shape your butt by walkin/running uphill?

Hey everyone  i am new here and this is probably a silly question,  but does walking or running uphill help shape or lift your butt? because mine is kinda small right now in proportion with the rest of my body.

P.S. the hillls i walk are very very steep.

Any comments or suggestions on how to get a rounder bum would be appreciated :)

Very probably it will help - your glutes will certainly get a workout from it. Whether it's enough to give you the look you're after is kind of genetic, your muscles will stop growing when they're sufficient to the task at hand.

 If that should happen, try sprinting uphill.

 'course, there's the old standbys of squats, deadlifts, bulgarian split squats and stiff-legged deadlifts, which will probably give you faster results, but speed isn't everything.
