I just ordered both of Jillian Michaels DVDs, 30 day shred and Ripped in 30... What one do you think would give me better results, I've had to take 3 sick days of from working out and going to Florida in 40 says, my goal is to look slim and toned. I'm 5'4 currently weigh 123, but usually I am around 121 I think I just weigh a bit more cause I haven't be exercising or really watching what I'm eating. Help please! What one should I do?

Hi! I've not tried ripped in 30 but I'm on day 3 of the 30 day shred and I can already see results. It's a great 20 minute circuit training. I highly recommend it!

did you workout before you started the 30 day shred? and do you do any other workout with it, like maybe running or something, or do you just do the 30 day shred? Thanks! :)

I have both DVDs and I prefer ripped in 30. I like it better because I feel it is a more balanced approach. It uses a system focusing on strength, cardio and abs and it's structured around this system, which I like. But which one you like depends on your preferences and goals. You really can't go wrong with either

melwright10, do you do any other workout while doing the ripped in 30 dvd?

I run and do the elliptical. (I really enjoy cardio) I am also getting back into strength training on days that I don't run. The DVD helps me get a strength workout in if I wasn't able to spend a lot of time at the gym.

I am currently doing Ripped in 30 and am on level 3. I have done 30 Day Shred, I think a total of three times. Both DVDs have the same approach, the same interval training. Ripped in 30 has 4 levels whereas 30 Day Shred has only three. IMHO, I think the Ripped in 30 is harder - well, at least some of it has been for me. That being said, I think they are both good. It is key that you are working more than one muscle group at a time.

I am also doing Blast Fat Boost Metabolism (i think that is what it is called) which is a 45 minute cardio workout, also with lots of combination moves. It is intense! Anway, I didn't feel I was getting enough cardio with the Ripped in 30, so I do this one 3-4 days a week and try to do the Ripped in 30 5-6 days per week.

I feel this is working very well for me. I definitely am feeling stronger and more toned and have increased my cardiovascular strength as well.

Good luck!

melwright10 & stillwatergirl thanks for your inputs (:

I started Ripped in 30 today, and loved it, I also added in another 15 minutes of turbo jam cardio party, and an 11 minute run. I felt great after, cant wait for tomorrow.

turbo jam cardio party - is that by beach body? i've seen it advertised on my tony horton 10-minute trainer videos - it looks like fun!

Yes, it is by beach body. I love the ab jam part.. just recently started doing random parts of the cardio party (:
