Recipe Ingredients for foolproof brisket

48 oz Beef, Brisket, Flat Half
4 onion Yellow Onion
4 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for foolproof brisket

sear brisket whole in hot pan on each side then set aside while softening chunked onions in the same hot pan. once all onions are translucent replace whole brisket on top of them in the pan, cover with water, bring to boil, reduce to simmer and cover for two and half to three hours. turn meat over once or twice while simmering and add water if the meat is not at least halfway submerged during the cooking process. When fork tender remove meat and slice on the bias against the grain, return to pan and keep warm till ready to serve. the water will have become pan gravy but should not be thickened - add water to the pan befroe cutting the meat if necessary to keep the juices plentiful until ready to serve
