A delicious low sugar granola with lots of healthy, fat burning MUFAs (MonoUnsaturated Fatty Acids)

Recipe Ingredients for Focus Granola

3 1/4 c rolled oats
1/2 c ground flax seed
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/2 c chopped almonds
1/2 c pumpkin seeds
14 oz shredded coconut
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c agave syrup
3 tbsp agave syrup
1/4 c canola oil
1/4 c water
3 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 oz dried apples

Recipe Directions for Focus Granola

  1. Heat & stir liquids, salt and sugars in sauce pan until combined.

  2. Combine oats and other ingredients in large bowl and pour liquid, not all at once, over oat mixture as you stir.

  3. Oil 2 large baking sheets and then turn the mixture out onto the sheets. If you want clumps squeeze mixuture together, otherwise spread out evenly.

  4. Bake at 250 for 30-50 minutes. Stir half way through but be sure not to burn.

  5. ***Be Careful: The granola will remain soft until it is completely cooled. It will NOT get crisp in the oven!
