Recipe Ingredients for Focaccia-Style Flax Bread

1/5 cup of oil
1/2 cup of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of Splenda
1 tablespoon of baking powder
7 1/2 tsp
1 1/2 cups of flax seed meal - you can find this at most grocery stores in the baking aisle

Recipe Directions for Focaccia-Style Flax Bread

  1. First preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, pour the flax seed meal, the artificial sweetener, the salt, and the baking powder and mix well

  3. Now we'll add oil, the water and the egg replacement and mix those together well. Let this set for two to three minutes to thicken

  4. Use a silicon mat on a baking tray or oiled parchment paper. And now we'll pour the batter into the pan, once you have it all there, you can spread this out on your pan to whatever thickness you desire, but it should be at least a 1/2 inch think

  5. Put this into the oven at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes. And you can pull it out and you just want to push on the bread and if it bounces back a bit it is done. Finally let this cool for about twenty minutes, and then take a spatula or knife and cut the bread as you like.
