Makes 8 servings



Flat bread. May also be used for pizza bread. Press out to desired thickness on hot pizza stone. Drizzle with olive oil and cook 10 minutes before adding toppings. Omit rosemary and coarse salt topping.

Recipe Ingredients for Focaccia bread

1 2/3 cup bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 package yeast

Recipe Directions for Focaccia bread

  1. Put all dry ingreds in food processor

  2. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil. Pulse to mix

  3. Drizzle in 1 cup 120-130 degree water until ball forms

  4. Let ball turn 25 times

  5. Let rest 1-2 min. Add more water if needed to make soft dough. Turn 15 times if water added.

  6. Turn out on greased surface. Cover and let rest 10 min.

  7. Press into greased 9X9 baking pan. Cover and let rise 30 min. Make indentations in bread and drizzle with remaining olive oil (a little should pool in indentations). Sprinkle with coarse salt and fresh chopped rosemary.

  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
