Homemade tortillas for fajitas or soft tacos

Recipe Ingredients for Flour Tortillas

3 cups white flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Flour Tortillas

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and butter in food processor fitted with a dough blade.

  2. Pulse mixture until crumbly.

  3. With food processor running, add water in a slow steady stream until the dough just forms a cohesive ball.

  4. Knead for 30 seconds more.

  5. Divide dough into 12 and transfer to floured surface. Cover with clean kitchen towel.

  6. On floured surface, roll into a 8 inch disc.

  7. Transfer shaped tortilla to preheated pan over medium heat. Cook 10 - 20 seconds per side.
