Tasty flour tortillas - makes 8 tortillas or could be stretched to make 10-12 (less calories each that way!)

Recipe Ingredients for Flour Tortillas

9 oz Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
2 1tsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
6 oz Milk

Recipe Directions for Flour Tortillas

  1. warm the milk

  2. mix dry ingredients and the oil, then add milk gradually to make a dough

  3. kneed for 2 or 3 mins until the dough is smooth and flexible then leave it covered in a bowl to prove for 20 mins

  4. divide the dough into 8 portions, roll into balls and let rise (covered) for another 10 mins.

  5. roll out the portions into 7-8" tortillas

  6. heat a skillet or non-stick pan (no oil needed) and cook each tortilla for about 30 seconds each side and keep them warm in the oven until needed.

  7. They can be frozen once cooked - just defrost and then heat in the oven or once again in a non-stick pan before use.
