Recipe Ingredients for Flemish Beef Stew - Slow Cooker

4 teaspoons canola oil
1 3/5 pounds beef
3/4 pounds of mushrooms
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups dark beer
3 carrots
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons dijon mustard
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe Directions for Flemish Beef Stew - Slow Cooker

  1. Brown beef in canola oil.

  2. Transfer browned beef to the slow cooker.

  3. Cook mushrooms - add flour to make a glaze.

  4. Poor in beer to mushroom glaze - bring to a boil.

  5. Transfer mushrooms to the slow cooker.

  6. Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker.

  7. Cook on low for 8 hours.
