Lots of good fiber in these delicious pancakes! I use almond milk because I don't drink milk, but regular milk would surely be fine to use. I've also used soy milk, which works as well.

Recipe Ingredients for Flax Brancakes

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup of wheat bran
1/4 cup of bran
1/4 cup flax seed
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Flax Brancakes

  1. Heat the griddle to 350 degrees

  2. Mix wet ingredients

  3. Mix dry ingredients

  4. Mix them together

  5. Form the cakes on the griddle

  6. Remove when they are golden brown
