Flapjacks with dried cherries (used raisins for the calorie count, because it wouldn't let me enter cherries) and chocolate chips.

Recipe Ingredients for Flapjacks

1/2 cup margarine
4 tbsp golden syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 cups oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Flapjacks

  1. Gently melt margarine.

  2. Take off heat.

  3. Stir in brown sugar and golden syrup, until dissolved.

  4. Add a pinch of salt.

  5. Stir in oats, then dried fruit and chocolate chips.

  6. Press into 9" square pan, greased with cooking spray.

  7. Bake until golden.

  8. Score when slightly cooled.

  9. (Do not attempt to remove before cooled!).
