Flan very bad, but okay once in a while. You need a pressure cooker to make this, and a tin to place the flan in.

Recipe Ingredients for Flan

14 oz condensed milk, sweet
12 oz evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg white
2 egg yolks
1 cup sugar

Recipe Directions for Flan

  1. Place sugar in the base of a flan tin.

  2. Mix together condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, salt, and eggs (whites and yolks), and pour into tin.

  3. Seal tin with aluminum foil, and place cover on and close it.

  4. Place the tin into a pressure cooker and fill with water until the level reaches about 1/4 of an inch below the cover of the tin.

  5. Seal the pressure cooker, but don't put the "regulator" (little metal thingie that dances when its operating) on the "vent pipe" (the little thing that sticks out where steam comes out and the dancing thing goes) Place on an appropriate range burner and turn it to high heat.

  6. Set up a timer for 40 minutes, but don't start it yet.

  7. When steam is steadily coming out of the vent pipe, place the regulator on and turn the burner down to medium and start the timer.

  8. Take the pressure cooker off the burner (turn off the burner too) and let it cool for about 25 minutes.

  9. Open the pressure cooker, take the tin out, and place it into the freezer for 2 hours.

  10. After that your flan can be placed in the refrigerator, it is ready to be eaten.
