Use borden lowfat sweetened condensed milk--works great.

Recipe Ingredients for flan

14 ounces condensed milk
3 eggs
3 cups skim milk
1/2 cup sugar

Recipe Directions for flan

  1. mix all ingredients except sugar

  2. melt sugar stirring constantly

  3. add sugar to pan

  4. add mixed ingredients on top

  5. put pan with flan in container with hot water (standard custard style cooking)

  6. cook in 400 degree oven for an hour.
