This is just your basic pie crust to be used in any type of pie. I like this recipie so much i like to eat my filling first and save my crust for last

Recipe Ingredients for Flakey Pie Crust

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp margarine
4 tbsp water

Recipe Directions for Flakey Pie Crust

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Spoon water into flour mixture 1 tablespoon at a time and blend with a fork after each addition; pastry should be just moist.

  2. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface into a disk 2 inches larger than pie plate. Wrap dough around rolling pin and unroll into an 8 or 9-inch pie plate. Trim edges, fold under, and flute using fingers. Bake pie as the recipe directs
