Recipe Ingredients for Fish in green sesame pipian

16 oz tomatillo salsa
1 1/2 T olive oil
1 cup vegetable broth
3 T tahini
1/2 t sugar
1 cup peas
16 oz halibut
1 T sesame seeds
1/4 cup cilantro

Recipe Directions for Fish in green sesame pipian

  1. blend the salsa in blender until smooth

  2. heat oil in skillet over medium high heat and add salsa - stir until consistency is tomato paste (5 mins)

  3. Stir broth and tahini - return to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 10 mins - taste and season with salt and sugar

  4. heat peas in the microwave to cook

  5. nestle fish into sauce, completely submerging and continue to simmer until fish flakes when pressed firmly (5-6 mins)

  6. transfer fish to each dinner plate and spoon sauce over top and add peas, sesame seeds and cilantro.
