You can use almost any white fleshed fish. I like it with tilapia or basa.

Recipe Ingredients for Fish Fillets With Picante Seafood Sauce

4 tbs olive oil, divided
4 garlic cloves
1/2 medium onion
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 tsp hot sauce
1/4 lb scallops
1/2 lb shrimp
1/4 lb squid
1 lb fish fillet
1/2 cup flour

Recipe Directions for Fish Fillets With Picante Seafood Sauce

  1. Slice the onion thinly and mince the garlic, then saute them in 2 Tbsp oil until the onion is translucent.

  2. Add in the diced tomatoes, wine and hot sauce.

  3. Chop the seafood into bite-sized pieces, if necessary, and set aside.

  4. Dredge the fish fillets in the flour, then fry them in a separate pan with 2 Tbsp oil (about 2 minutes per side).

  5. While the fillets are frying, add the seafood to the onion and tomato sauce, stirring gently until it is cooked through (about 5-6 minutes).

  6. Remove the fillets to a serving platter, and spoon the seafood sauce over the top.

  7. Serve with rice.
