Recipe Ingredients for Fish ball with pineapple soup

1/2 pound catfish, ground
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
20 ounce pineapple chunks, drained
4 cups water
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cilantro leaves, minced
2 chili peppers, chopped (optional)

Recipe Directions for Fish ball with pineapple soup

Mix first 6 ingredients, dip hands in water to prevent sticking and roll into small balls. Set aside. Preheat a small saucepan, add 1 tablespoon oil and saute garlic until browned. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside. Bring water and pineapple to a boil, add fish balls and simmer 10 minutes. Add fish sauce, sugar, salt, cook 5 minutes more. Sprinkle top with cilantro, chili peppers, and saute'd garlic.
