A leaner version of Taste of Home's Fourth of July casserole.

Recipe Ingredients for First of July Bean Casserole

1/2 lb turkey bacon, diced
20 oz ground turkey, 93% lean
1 cup chopped onion
28 oz Beans, Baked Canned, With Pork And Tomato Sauce
16 oz kidney beans, drained
16 oz black beans, drained
1 cup frozen corn
1/2 cup splenda brown sugar blend
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons maple syrup, sugar free
1 taco seasoning or chili powder

Recipe Directions for First of July Bean Casserole

  1. cook bacon, turkey and onions together until meat is done, and onions are tender. Drain.

  2. While meat is cooking, open beans and drain.

  3. Mix everything together in large bowl.

  4. Spray 2 1/2 quart baking pan with non-stick vegetable oil spray. Pour beans into pan. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 min. Remove cover and bake another 15 min.

  5. Serve and enjoy.

  6. Great with sliced fresh tomatoes.
