Fire Up The Grill
"This is my invariable advice to people: Learn how to cook- try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun!" – Julia Child
For some of us the grilling season is just starting to go into full swing! Where I live, grilling is a year-round pleasure providing us with the opportunity to experiment with grilling just about everything and anything. Guests are eager to accept invitations when we announce that we are doing one of our entirely grilled meals – beautiful mixed grill centerpieces of beef or pork, chicken or fish, and shrimp are joined by a gorgeous array of vegetables with flavor and texture magically enhanced by simply cooking them outside; adding the sweet to the savory is stunning grill marked fruit their rich flavors deepened, the sweetness intensified by heat, and to complete the meal - grilled dessert!
If you are new to or want to learn more about grilling, check out About.com’s grilling help page, it’s a treasure trove of great advice for the novice or intermediate griller. One of the most important tips for grilling is to clean the grates well. That can mean the difference between deliciously sweet grilled pineapple or a pineapple with a bit of an odd fishy taste; try using the suggestions on About.com’s grill cleaning help page.
Fire up that grill and get cooking!

Spoon on a generous serving of warm blueberry sauce and await the applause as you take plain angel food cake to a totally new level of beauty and deliciousness and respect your caloric goal at the same time. Left over Warm Wild Blueberry Sauce can be refrigerated for a few days and used on anything you want - pancakes, oatmeal, cakes, ice cream, cheesecake, or eat it out of hand with a spoon.
