2 tablespoon Dijon mustard (view)
1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper (view)
1 cup finely chopped onion (view)
2 teaspoons chopped parsley (view)
2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (view)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (view)
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme (view)
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt (view)
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (view)
332 grams crab, alaskan king (view)
3/4 cup bread crumbs (view)
3 tablespoons chopped parsley (view)
3 cloves garlic (view)

Recipe Directions for Final Crab Cake Recipe 2 May 2009

  1. mix rice vinegar, mustard, chopped pepper, onion, tabasco, paprika, chopped tyme, salt, pepper, parsley and chopped garlic in bowl. Add crab and mix lightly to coat all crab.

  2. Whip egg whites into stiff peaks. Fold in crab mixture. There will be about 4 cups of mixture.

  3. Place about half of the panko on a tray covered with non-stick foil. Fill 1 cup measuring cup with crab mixture. Tip over on panko. Repeat with remaining three cups of mixture. Sprinkle remaining panko over crab cakes. place plastic wrap over crab cakes and refrigerate until time to bake.

  4. To Bake: Lift cakes onto a second tray with non stick foil. Spray with olive oil and place in 375 degree oven. Bake until internal temperature is 155.
