Recipe Ingredients for fig upside down cake

1/2 c. margarine
2/3 c. brown sugar
10 fresh figs
2 tsp fresh rosemary
2 tbsp walnuts
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
4 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for fig upside down cake

melt butter in a 8 x 8 pan then sprinkle brown sugar,figs, walnuts and 1 tsp rosemary. In a bowl combines flour ,baking powder, salt set aside. separate eggs and beat egg whites until fluffy. In a mixing bowl mix yolks, sugar together and then add lemon juice and zest. then add vanilla, rosemary and the flour mixture. fold in the egg whites. pour over figs and bake at 350 for 35-40 min.
