Recipe Ingredients for Fig Bread

3/4 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup chopped dried figs
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Fig Bread

  1. Bring orange juice to a boil and pour over figs. Let stand for 15 minutes.

  2. Mix all ingredients together. Put into a prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
