A very spicy and delicious soup you can make in less than 30 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients for Fiery Red Lentil Soup

2 cups water
1 large carrot, diced
1/2 cup Red Lentils
1/2 habanero pepper, minced
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1/4 large red onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Fiery Red Lentil Soup

  1. Heat a medium sized sauce pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil. When oil is hot, add onions, garlic and pepper, then stir to coat.

  2. When onions begin to turn translucent, add carrots and dry lentils, stirring again to coat all ingredients.

  3. Add water and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and add cover. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes before adding salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm if the rest of your meal isn't ready yet!
