Recipe Ingredients for Fettucine Alfredo, quick version

16 oz pasta noodles (fettucine or spaghetti)
1 T butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 c fat-free half and half
1 salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c parmesan cheese, fresh grated
1 t cornstarch
1 T lemon juice
0.33 c parsley, minced

Recipe Directions for Fettucine Alfredo, quick version

  1. Boil pasta until done

  2. Melt butter in large saucepan, saute garlic until soft, 2-3 min

  3. Add half and half, salt and pepper, heat until steaming

  4. Mix cheese and cornstarch, and add to cream with lemon juice

  5. Stir until thickened

  6. Drain pasta, toss with sauce in pan. Garnish with parsley

  7. Serves 10
