Homemade applesauce that tastes like pie, but without the guilt.

Recipe Ingredients for Faux Pie

10 Apples
2 tbsp Cinnamon
2 tsp Nutmeg
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Margarine

Recipe Directions for Faux Pie

  1. Peel, cut and core all apples.

  2. Fill deep frying pan with cup and a half of water

  3. Add apples, sprinkle with 1 tbsp of cinnamon and sugar, and 1 tsp of nutmeg.

  4. Turn heat to medium low

  5. Let simmer for 3 hours or until fork tender

  6. Puree/Blend/Mash to desired consitancy

  7. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. Add butter, stir.

  8. Serve.
