A lovely pasta dish with a tart creamy cheese sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Farfalle with Asparagus and Mushrooms

16 oz pasta
2 cups cooked asparagus
1 package of light cream cheese
16 oz sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 cup chopped shallot
3 cloves garlic
1 cup shredded parmesean cheese

Recipe Directions for Farfalle with Asparagus and Mushrooms

Put olive oil in large pan. Put water on to boil for pasta. Saute shallot and garlic in oil in pan. Add chopped asparagus. When tender, add sliced mushrooms. Drop pasta -- I use farfalle. When veggies are cooked through, turn heat to warm or low. Add drained pasta when finished. Toss in cream cheese (heat will melt it). Finish with shredded parmesean. If you wish, top with a minced blend of parsely and garlic with lemon zest.
