Falafel made with canned garbanzo beans

Recipe Ingredients for Falafel

15 ounce chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 egg
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup dry bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Falafel

  1. smash garbanzos

  2. process vegetables and herbs

  3. combine with garbanzos, stir in remaining ingredients

  4. Coat with olive oil and bake at 375 or so until done turning once.
