Recipe Ingredients for Falafel

1 cup Dry Chickpeas
4 cups Water
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 cup Fresh Chopped Parsley
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Sea Salt
2 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Falafel

  1. Soak dried chickpeas in water overnight or for at least eight hours. Drain chickpeas.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender.

  3. Preheat olive oil in a large, heavy pan over medium-high heat.

  4. Form batter into 2 inch disks and drop into oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until crispy.

  5. Serve.
