Recipe Ingredients for Fake chicken pie

8 ounces wholewheat flour
4 ounces margarine
4 tablespoon water
200 grams quorn chicken style pieces - chilled
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 ounce celery
4 ounces carrots
4 ounces sweetcorn
1 pint stock, vegetable
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
1 gram bay leaf
1 salt and pepper, season to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe Directions for Fake chicken pie

  1. Make the pastry using the top three ingredients and chill.

  2. While the pastry is chilling, saute the onion and garlic with the oil, until soft but not brown. Then add the celery carrots and sweetcorn and cook over a low heat for

  3. 8-10 minutes, then add the quorn pieces and the stock and cook for a further 15-20 minutes, after this time drain and let the mixture cool, while the mixture is cooling, grease and line a pie dish with 2/3rds of the pastry and put the chilled filling into the dish and cover with the rest of the pastry. Glaze with egg or milk if you wish, cook in a pre heated oven gas mark 6 for 20-25 minutes, serve hot with seasonal vegetables.
