Wonderful pie; I topped with fresh strawberries sliced thin...around the edges. Just trying to find something with low cholesterol and this is one I came up with.

Recipe Ingredients for Eyvonne's Strawberry Pie

2 cups pecan, dry roasted
2 cups almonds, dry roasted
1 1/2 tablespoons milled flax seed
8 ounces fat free cool whip
12 ounces fat free yogurt, vanilla
1 package strawberry jello, sugar free

Recipe Directions for Eyvonne's Strawberry Pie

  1. Roast 2 cups pecans and 2 cups almonds. Grind in food processor while still hot with 1 1/2 tablespoon milled flax seed. Press into pie plate and chill.

  2. Dissolve jello in 1/2 cup boiling water, let cool for a couple of minutes. Mix in vanilla yogurt and then the 8 ounce tub of fat free cool whip. Pour into crust and chill approximately 2 hours.

  3. Cut into 12 pieces.
